Volunteers Enhance the Learning Environment in DCSD
Our volunteer programs extend and enrich educational programs by making available talents and resources of business persons, civic organization members, retirees, parents and friends, to enhance school and District goals, promote positive school/community relationships, and provide a positive, safe growing environment for our students.
Community Volunteer Program
Research tells us that when schools work together with families to support learning, children tend to succeed not just in school, but also throughout life. Citizens in Douglas County donate many hours to improve the educational experience for students. The Douglas County School District facilitates several programs to integrate schools with community members.
**Please note: If you wish to volunteer in DCSD schools you must have a valid Colorado Driver's license. (DCSD follows Colorado DMV requirements: you may use your out-of-state driver's license for the first 30 days after moving. After this time, however, you must have a valid CO driver's license.) If you're active duty military that has been stationed in Colorado, you may use your military ID.
