Items Prohibited on School Buses

ITEMS PROHIBITED TO BE TRANSPORTED ON SCHOOL BUSES ARE:

EXPLOSIVES/FIREARMS/KNIVES OR GLASS OBJECTS

NOTE:  Any loose objects that might become a projectile in the event of an accident is a

               potential hazard.

To minimize the potential hazards, special attention is required on select items to be transported on a school bus.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS NEED TO BE KEPT IN A BACKPACK OR SPORTSBAG

            Baseball Bats              Hockey Sticks             Tennis Rackets           Skateboards

            Rollerblades                (or any similar items) 

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS CONSIDERED TOO LARGE TO BE SAFELY TRANSPORTED DAILY ON SCHOOL BUSES ARE:

            Baritone Horn             Bass Viola                   Cello                Contra Bass Clarinet

            Drum Sets                  Tuba or Bass Horn    

The tenor saxophone may be transported on buses if capacity permits.  Only two (2) students will be seated in the same seat with the saxophone and it will be placed on the floor between the students.

Permission will be revoked if space is needed for students.  If students are required to bring any of the prohibited items for class projects, parents will be responsible for transporting these items.
