The Denver Post released an August 14, 2014 story titled “Colorado students show slight decline in state TCAP results.”
The Douglas County School District was not included in the story, so we would like to provide details about our academic achievement.
DCSD TCAP scores once again rank among the highest in the state. In fact, DCSD scores outpaced the state average in all grades and all content areas.
When compared to the rest of Colorado, DCSD scored more than 11 percentage points above the state average.
Another piece of good news comes from the District’s ACT scores. An increase this year results in an ACT score of 22.1 for DCSD students.
