The Information Technology (IT) Department manages and supports all aspects of technology at Ponderosa High School including but not limited to Equipment (computers, doc cams, etc.), Programs, Apps, and more, on all devices such as Apple, Dell and Chrome products and their accompanying Applications. We provide assistance to students and staff--teachers, administration, with their technology through sessions, seminars, staff meetings, and the always available--one-on-one instruction. We encourage and support the use of BYOD--Bring Your Own Device for students and staff, providing assistance in any way. We strongly believe in the need to collaborate with our technical community through multiple avenues, such as: actively working with DCSD’s District IT department to explore new technologies and teaching with technology, being on the ACC’s--Arapahoe Community College’s Strategic Partnership committee to help develop and align our own IT goals, and participating in DCSD’s DATL--Digital Age Teaching & Learning user group for iPad and Chromebooks committee to support the district’s efforts. With the help of our SAINT’s (Student Aide in Technology) student program, we are able to provide technical support at various functions throughout the community such as helping various elementary schools in their technology.
"Somehow I can't believe there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C's. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy and the greatest of these is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably."
