Ponderosa Receives College Success Award

The College Success Award recognizes and celebrates high schools that excel in ensuring students are prepared for college and ultimately careers. The College Success Award-winning high schools stand out based on school-level postsecondary data collected and shared by their states. This data tells us whether students enroll in college, are ready for college-level coursework when they get there, and persist on to their second year. The Award currently recognizes schools in nine states where high school level data on college preparation, enrollment, course remediation and persistence were available: AR, CO, FL, GA, KY, IN, MI, MO, and OH. By collecting and sharing this data, these states have gone above and beyond the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act and have enabled families, educators, and policymakers in their states to have a more complete picture of school quality--including identifying outstanding schools that may have been overlooked in the past.
