About the Performing Arts Department

As we strive for an extraordinary quality of life, the Ponderosa High School Performing Arts Department cares for and respects each individual, learns and works together to create an artistic environment that encourages creativity through aesthetic awareness, provides mutual encouragement and support as we work hard to achieve high standards, and prepares all students for a lifelong appreciation of the arts.

Student of the Month

Congratulations to Joshua Eaton on being selected Student of the Month for October!  "Josh is a treasurer on the Thespian Council, active member of Student Council, and all-around leader in the theatre department. Recently, he has been working hard as a student director for the freshman/sophomore production of Raggedy Ann & Andy and has maintained a positive attitude throughout all the stress of putting a show together. Josh regularly takes on extra projects to help the theatre department achieve its goals and is always ready to jump in and help wherever he's needed. Josh finds a way to balance a full class load, a part-time job, and all of his extracurricular activities without letting anything get him down. His humor and positivity are part of what makes the Ponderosa Theatre Company such a great place to be!"
