Book Character Day

The PTA is proud to introduce the inaugural Book Character Day on November 6th.
Book Character Day will be an annual celebration of authors, illustrators and all things reading. 
Kids are encouraged to transform/ dress up into their favorite book character.
PTA has also invited Justin Mattot as a guest speaker on the day.  He is a local author and has written a series of books, some of which are “Chocolate Covered Frog Legs”, “When I was a girl, I dreamed" or "When I was a Boy I dreamed”.
He will be running a series of assemblies for grades 1 - 4, making a short guest appearance to all Kindergarten classrooms, and a writers workshop for grade 4. 
The day’s schedule will be:
