Jenny Alsup - Counselor Grades 7-9

My name is Jenny Alsup and I have been a school counselor here at eDCSD for four years. I live in Evergreen, CO with my husband and two daughters. My husband is the athletic director at Evergreen High School, my oldest daughter is 16, and is a junior in high school, my youngest is 12, and in 7th grade. As a family, we love to travel, be outdoors, watch movies, play games, and spend time with family and friends. Personally, I love to craft, watch my girls in their activities and explore new places!

Janda Bliek - Counselor Grades 10-12

Janda Bliek has been in Douglas County for 20 years and at eDCSD for five years. She loves working with students and exploring plans for life after high school. When she is not at school, she loves spending time with her husband, Scott, and her twins, Holland and Brody. Her favorite activity is cheering from a sideline- either as a mom or a fan!

Jenn Bruns - Elementary Teacher Grades 4-6

I am a Colorado native, but I have also lived and taught 4th and 5th grade in Las Vegas, NV and Manassas, VA. I have been teaching since 2004; I’ve taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, and since 2007 in the Douglas County School District. This is my fourth year at eDCSD CO Cyber! I am excited to be teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies grades K-6 this year! I have a beautiful family and am very proud of my twins Natalie and Nicholas; they were born in January 2012. They are beautiful preschoolers and keep me entertained and busy. In April 2015, we welcomed the beautiful baby Ella, who is quickly becoming a very busy toddler. I am so blessed with amazing family! I have a loving wonderful husband and gorgeous black cat named Paris, who attends most virtual classes. We welcomed a golden retriever named Fergus into our family last December as well--- we have a full house! In my free time (what little there is...), I like to do yoga, go for walks, shop, paint, scrapbook, or read a good book. I also enjoy traveling and photography when time allows!

Susan Byrd - Elementary Teacher Grades K-3

I grew up in Chicago, Illinois until I was 10. Then I moved to Southern California until I went to college. I attended University of Colorado at Boulder for my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (Exercise Science). After working a few years as a person trainer, I went back to school for my teaching degree and Masters in Educational Research at the University of Colorado at Denver. I taught 5th and 6th grade in Castle Rock for 5 years. Then I began teaching online in 2007 with eDCSD/CO Cyber. I have been married for 11 years and have two daughters, ages 9 and 7. Some hobbies of mine are: running, swimming, hiking, teaching yoga, playing games, and being with my family.

Tiffany Chavez - Student Learning Coach
Jacob Dunne - English Language Learners Teacher
Zach Glenn - Social Studies Teacher

Hello! I am a Middle School and High School Social Studies Teacher here at eDCSD. My wife and I recently moved to Colorado from Chicago where I taught for 5 years. We are very "outdoorsy" people and love to hike, bike, kayak, snowboard and run, so we are excited to be here where all of that is so available! My dog Kramer is excited too and is my unofficial teacher assistant, though he usually just contributes snoring in the background of my Virtual Classes.

Kristy Hart - Principal

I grew up in a military family living all over the world.  I attended University of Nebraska, Lincoln for a degree in Environmental Science and decided to pursue education after teaching conservation classes to children.  I got my teaching license from University of Central Missouri and Masters in Administration from University of Phoenix.  After teaching 4th grade and middle school science for several years in Kansas City, I moved to Douglas County to teach high school.  I love spending time with my husband, 2 children and ornery old dog.  This is my 3rd year as Principal at eDCSD and I am proud to serve your family alongside this amazing team.  It is an honor that you chose to trust eDCSD with your child's education and it is our goal to help your child succeed.

Peggy Henninger - SPED/Homebound

I am a Colorado native and have been teaching in Douglas County for 11 years. I am married and we have 4 children that are all in college. I got my bachelors at CSU, my masters at UCCS, and am working on my PhD. I enjoy gardening, taking walks, creating artwork, and watching baseball.
