The practice will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, at Douglas County Stadium.  The practice will end at approximately 3:00 p.m.  Seniors will need to provide their own transportation.  Graduation practice is mandatory for all seniors who wish to participate in the graduation ceremony.  Caps and gowns will be distributed at this time.
All graduates will be wearing dark purple robes.  Graduates should wear the following under their robes:
Girls - a dress and, preferably, low-heeled shoes (high heels are not recommended because of stairs).
Boys - dark slacks with white (or light colored) shirt, tie, and dress shoes.
Using caps and gowns from previous years will not be permitted unless special permission is given by Mr. Kappas.  You MUST wear the purchased caps and gowns.
Seniors who have failed to order a cap and gown by this late day may do so by contacting Nils Erickson of Josten's at (303) 985-0095.  There will be a late charge for any gowns ordered at this time.
Admission tickets to the commencement ceremony will be given to seniors during Advisement on Thursday, May 3rd.  Students will be given 8 tickets.   The admission ticket will also designate the parking lot to be used.  Please use the assigned lot, as parking will be very limited this year.  Car pooling is encouraged.  It is our hope that everyone who wants to come to the ceremony will be able to be seated.  Gates will open at 8:30 a.m. and only those who hold tickets will be admitted until 9:45 a.m.  After 9:45 a.m., anyone who would like to attend the ceremony will be allowed to enter the stadium on a space-available basis.  However, seats are on a first-come-first-served basis.  There will be standing room for those who do not get seats.  Handicapped parking is available.  Students may exchange one of their graduation tickets for handicapped a parking ticket by seeing Mrs. Thompson in the North Main Office.  A reception area will be available in the North Commons area following the ceremony.
A picture of each graduate will be taken by a professional photographer during the ceremony as the graduates receive their diplomas.  Following the graduation, a proof and an order form will be mailed to each graduate.  If you choose to order pictures, this should be done directly through Ted Spring Photography, 303-688-4994.
