Shadow Day at Chaparral High School
Be a Wolverine for a Day!
This year Chaparral will be hosting four shadow days for 8th grade students who are new to our community on the following Tuesdays:
Shadow days are designed for eighth-grade students who are new to our community and considering becoming a Chaparral Wolverine next year. Shadow Days provide an opportunity to experience the variety of academics and activities that we offer. Students in our feeder schools or those who are familiar with our school should plan on attending the Chaparral Showcase on Monday, January 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. instead of a shadow day. The shadow day visit is a full seven period day which allows students to see as many classes as possible. Each shadowing student will follow a Chaparral student throughout the day and enjoy a lunch provided by the school. The day starts at 7:20 a.m. in the main hall and is completed at 2:30 p.m. Spaces for this opportunity are extremely limited. If your eighth-grade student is interested in participating , please register through our website under About CHS/Shadow Days or contact Lauri Echer at 303.387.3524 or at lsimingtonecher[at]dcsdk12[dot]org to make a reservation.
Shadow days are designed for students who:
are not currently enrolled in one of our feeder schools
have not participated in camps or clubs on our campus
do not have an older sibling attending Chaparral
