Building Maintenance Priority System

Building Maintenance Priority System:

The Building Maintenance division's ability to provide optimal customer service relies heavily on the work order priority system. All work requests are processed and classified into one of three priority levels. We will accept phone calls for emergencies; all other requests should be submitted via the SchoolDude work order system. The priority of a work order is established based on the following criteria:

Priority I High

This service will be provided when required to protect life, health, property and safety of staff, students and faculty. Emergency repair work will be acted on within one hour

Examples:
  • Reported gas orders
  • Power failures
  • Backed up MAIN sewer lines
  • Fire
  • Reported loss of water
  • No heat / cooling in wing/pod or building wide

Priority II Medium

Urgent services are required for situations that if delayed would interrupt the educational process.

Examples:

  • No heat/cooling during hot/cold weather (below 68 or above 76 degrees)
  • Serious roof leaks
  • Plugged sewer or restrooms
  • Health Room security problems (broken locks, windows, etc.)

Priority III - Low Routine Maintenance

Services are those which can be scheduled based on availability of manpower and planned with enough time to order and receive materials and parts.

Examples:

  • Repairs and adjustments / general maintenance
  • Routine electrical
  • PA system repairs, clocks, alarms
  • Keys and locks
  • Painting
  • Carpeting repair or cleaning
  • Roof patching
  • Routine plumbing
