Free Databases & Databases Provided by Douglas County Libraries

Elementary Databases

Britannica Library for Children provides current events and primary sources for K-6.

Britannica Learning Zone supports classroom curriculum and helps Pre-K through second grade students build technology skills.

Tumblebooks is an online collection of animated, talking picture and chapter books for children, accompanied by educational games and activities.  

Provides a unique blend of one-to-one homework help, state-aligned skills building, test preparation, and writing assistance.

Offers a Kids, States, and Provinces editions featuring photo and slideshow galleries, videos, interviews, recipes, famous people biographies, and graphs and tables.

 Hosts the World Almanac for Kids, a database covering topics such as inventions, countries, states, presidents, and religions. Also contains sections on space and animals which include more extensive depth of coverage, making them useful for simple research projects.
