Spark the Change
Begin, or continue, reinventing your district
The Douglas County Innovation Summit is the perfect place to light the spark of change at your school or district or continue work that has already begun.
Our hands-on workshop-like sessions will not only provide you with insight into the implementation or change here in Douglas County, but it will afford an opportunity to begin and/or continue work on your own efforts.
We encourage you to bring your drafts, have your specific questions answered and to join the discussion of where we can collaboratively go together.
Want to reinvent your curriculum, assessments, instruction, evaluations, professional development, and operations for the 21st century?
Comprehensive change is happening here in Douglas County. Whatever your interest, you will collaborate with the teacher leaders, school/district leaders and education professionals who are leading the way.
We know many districts across the country share our goals (making sure our students are college, career and citizenship ready for the 21st century) and are our partners in the reinvention of American education . This is an opportunity for us to gather together and talk about the work we share, things that we've learned, things that we've done well, and things that we can do better together. That is the idea behind the Innovation Summit in Douglas County.
Comprehensive or Incremental Change?
Regardless of whether you intend to implement comperehensive change or just work on one element of transformation in your district, our Innovation Summit is for you. We believe in differentiated learning, so you will have an opportunity to tailor your summit experience to your interests and needs.
In fact, as part of the registration process, we will ask participants to provide feedback by choosing their favorite topics - the areas they're most interested in, so we can provide that which our friends need and want the most. Remember, space is limited so don't wait. Let us know if you are interested in coming to Douglas County by filling out this interest form.
