Network certificate update Wednesday night (Jan 21)
UPDATE Thurs 1/22/15 @ 8:45AM - Chromebooks unable to connect in some instances;
please check this link for instructions on how to resolve Chromebook issues.
The evening of Wednesday, January 21st, the IT Infrastructure team performed a critical security upgrade to the district’s wireless network. The work involved an update to the servers which allow you to “authenticate” (ie. login) to the wireless network.
While we tested the majority of our devices for this change and confirmed that the change is seamless for most, there is a possibility that your device may be unable to connect. In such an event, please follow the below guidelines to fix the issue.
When connecting to wireless, you might see a box on the screen asking you to accept a certificate; just click on Accept (or whichever terminology is used in order to accept) and you should be good to go.
iPads at your site that have been setup using Apple’s Configurator application may need some additional work performed before they can connect to the wireless network. See below for more info.

If you have issues connecting to wireless on Thursday morning
A few suggestions if you encounter problems with your device logging onto the wireless network Thursday morning:

Connect to a hardwired connection, if available, then coordinate with your site computer tech for assistance to resolve wireless access.
If you are on a Chromebook, you'll need to make a minor change to the wireless settings. Click here for instructions.
