Employee Council

Your voice helps shape the employee experience in DCSD.

The Douglas County School District Employee Council brings employees together to share perspectives, provide feedback, and help inform districtwide conversations and decisions that impact staff.
The Council includes approximately employees from across the district, representing Classified, Licensed, and ProTech roles. This diverse representation helps ensure that employees from different roles, schools, and departments have an opportunity to contribute their perspectives.

What Does the Employee Council Do?
Council members provide feedback and engage in conversations around topics that affect employees across DCSD. Areas of discussion may include:

* Recruitment and retention
* Employee experience and workplace culture
* Benefits and employee supports
* District initiatives and emerging priorities

The Council also provides an opportunity for district teams to listen directly to employees, gather feedback, and better understand what is working well and where opportunities may exist.

When Does the Council Meet?
The Employee Council meets quarterly. Meetings provide time for members to learn about district initiatives, share feedback, ask questions, and bring forward perspectives from employees across the district. 

Applications for the 2026–27 Employee Council closed in June, and members serve a two-year term. Interested in joining in the future? Check back in March 2027 for the next application cycle.
