Employee Council
The Douglas County School District Employee Council is a voluntary advisory group that provides employee input and feedback to the Superintendent on various school district-wide matters including working conditions, compensation and benefits. The Council is made up of 40 employees representing all employee groups, including Classified, Licensed and Admin/ProTech.

- Administration - 3 vacancies (2 Castle Rock, 1 West Highlands Ranch)
- Pro/Tech - 4 vacancies (3 Castle Rock, 1 Parker)
- Licensed - 5 vacancies (2 Castle Rock, 1 Parker, 1 East Highlands Ranch, 1 West Highlands Ranch)
- Classified - 4 vacancies (1 Castle Rock, 2 East Highlands Ranch, 1 West Highlands Ranch)
What are the time requirements for employees participating on the Employee Council?
DCSD hosts a monthly, two-hour Employee Council meeting (typically on the last Monday of the month) where topics of interest are presented and discussed. Employee Council members are asked to provide their input and feedback for the topic being discussed.
How do I apply to become a member of the Employee Council?
If you are interested in applying to become a member of the Employee Council, please complete an application. Please be sure that you are using your DCSD Gmail account when applying. Employees selected will be notified. We will review applications with our current Employee Council team and will consider individuals while working to balance representation of departments, school levels and regions.
