MARCH BOOK MADNESS

Get ready for March Book Madness 2022, the district-wide literacy event to get students talking & excited about books by having them vote for their favorites in a bracket-style tournament inspired by the NCAA's basketball tournament.  Voting begins January 4, 2022 and the "Championship Round" will be the week before Spring Break in March, but now is the time to promote the program & the books to your students!

ONE BOOK DCSD

November 8th-12th

The DLMC is so excited to host Douglas County School District's first-ever ONE BOOK event by encouraging all students, teachers & staff to read, discuss, and participate in lessons & activities based around the beautiful picture book by  LeUyen Pham, Outside, Inside.

DCSD's ONE BOOK week will kick off on Monday, November 8th with LeUyen Pham visiting our schools to discuss how she was inspired to write and illustrate Outside, Inside during the pandemic.

Other District-sponsored events will include an Art contest and Districtwide Food Drive as well as themed activities and SEL lessons.

Check out our ONE BOOK DCSD website for ideas of how you can celebrate this community building, literacy initiative in your school and be sure to share and tag your social media posts with #OneBookDCSD
