Request a Technology Device for your Student

Dear Douglas County School District Families,

As you know, last week, DCSD made the decision to continue with remote learning through the end of the school year. We want to make sure all of our families have the appropriate technology necessary so their student(s) can successfully access and participate in remote learning from home.

DCSD continues to loan out Chromebooks to students who attend DCSD neighborhood schools, and who do not have an adequate technology device at home for remote learning purposes. If you would like to check out a Chromebook for your student or students, please complete the DCSD Remote Learning Technology Needs Survey.

A few days after DCSD receives a technology needs survey, the requestor will receive an email with specific instructions on how to pick up a Chromebook for their student(s). The email will come from DCSD Parent Tech Support <parenttechsupport@dcsdk12.org>. Please ensure that this email address is whitelisted (i.e. add it to your email address book) to avoid having it land in your spam/junk folder (be sure to check your spam/junk folders just in case). New device requests are reviewed on a rolling basis and pickup emails are generally sent out on Fridays and Tuesdays.

Device pickups take place in Castle Rock each Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (please do not come to the pick up location until you have received a confirmation email from DCSD Parent Tech Support with instructions).

Additional Information:
  1. To request a loaner Chromebook, complete the DCSD Remote Learning Technology Needs Survey.
  2. If you previously checked out a technology device from DCSD (or directly from your neighborhood school) and the device is not working, is missing a charger, etc. Please complete this form to request a replacement or charger.
  3. If you have a DCSD device and no longer need it please hang on to it. Before the end of April, we will be communicating a safe and easy way to return DCSD loaner devices.
  4. If you need help with setting up the technology you have loaned, please review this Parent FAQ site. Additional help can also be requested by opening a helpdesk ticket via this link.
For families who are not in need of a loaner device, but want to help support other families in our community, please consider making a donation to the Emergency Relief Fund for Douglas County Schools.
