First Graders at Clear Sky Elementary Organize a Benefit Concert

CASTLE ROCK– On the evening of Friday, November 1, 2019, the gym at Clear Sky Elementary was filled with tears and laughter when the entire Clear Sky Elementary community shared in a poignant evening that raised awareness and encouraged empathy.

The first grade classes had organized a benefit concert for Zoey Cunningham, a fellow first-grader who was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia this past July. The gym was turned into a concert venue with a small VIP section for the Cunningham family. Students in the concert made their own instruments and shared their knowledge of sound and vibration through a series of songs. Concert shirts and VIP credentials were provided for every first grader by a parent and donated by Cube Services and Red Star Merchandise. The Benefit Concert raised $1,000 for a family needing love and support during a hard time.
