Ponderosa High School student and wrestler Cohlton Schultz has just returned back from Athens, Greece to Colorado after becoming the first United States World Champion in 20 years in Greco-Roman wrestling.

For the fifth year in a row, the Douglas County Men’s Soccer Team is raising money for AIM2Cure during its Childhood Cancer Awareness Night.

Douglas County School District has partnered with the Anthony Bates Foundation (ABF) to provide free cardiac screens to the student-athletes of the district.
The Boys Golf championships were held at Fort Collins Country Club on October 5-6. Highlands Ranch and Mountain Vista high schools finished in the top ten teams in Class 5A. Additionally, Austin Hardman of Mountain Vista finished in 5th place, in the individual standings.

Excellence in athletics has become synonymous with Ponderosa High School. While it is usually the Mustang’s wrestling, football or poms programs in the spotlight, this week the administrator behind much of the success was honored.
DENVER – It was not just Ty Lawson and Jameer Nelson that got cheers during the Denver Nuggets pre-game on March 25. Two Douglas County School District athletic trainers were called out to center court to be honored by the team for their dedication to DCSD sports programs.

When Highlands Ranch High School’s varsity baseball took the field last week against ThunderRidge, it may have been hard for the umpire to keep all of the players straight. They were all wearing the number 42, in commemoration of a historic moment in baseball and the Civil Rights Movement.
After placing fifth in the 400-meter freestyle during the London Paralympic Games; Rock Canyon High School Junior Brickelle Bro has not slowed down. In fact, she recently broke an American record and is now preparing to swim in the Pan Pacific Para games.

PARKER — An annual celebration of female athletes will represent the “passing of the torch” from high school seniors to their middle school successors.
