Admissions

What is Admissions?

Admissions is the process by which a student is admitted into Douglas County School District, including completing Online Registration, submitting required documents, and receiving confirmation from the district.

Welcome to the DCSD Family!

Excellence meets opportunity in DCSD. We're not just the third-largest school district in Colorado; we're a community dedicated to helping every student discover their unique talents and reach their full potential.

Something for Everyone

With 92 schools spread across the 850 square miles of our nationally renowned county, we have options galore. Whether you're looking for a comprehensive neighborhood school, a charter school with specialized curriculum, or support for students with special needs, we've got you covered.

Our schools

  • An ADDRESS ASSIGNED SCHOOL means a public, non-charter school, where you are guaranteed placement because you live in that school's attendance zone in alignment with District Board policies JCA/JFB and JCA/JFB-R.
  • A public, NON-CHARTER SCHOOL that is outside of your attendance zone can be requested, but enrollment is not guaranteed.
  • A public, tuition free, CHARTER SCHOOL is a school where there are no guaranteed placements due to attendance zones, are open to anyone to apply, and have their own enrollment guidelines and processes.
