Strategic Plan
Douglas County School District is known as a premier school district in Colorado and across the country.
In addition to helping our children master reading, writing, math, practical life skills, critical thinking and so much more, we must also prepare them for their future so they can LEAD THE WAY in our ever-changing world: a world with quickly evolving artificial intelligence and related technologies that we cannot even imagine.
This school year, we are engaged in a community-wide conversation about our successes and challenges to date and the path forward for our students. We welcome our entire Douglas County community to join us in this future-focused strategic planning process.

Thank you, survey respondents!
The world is changing rapidly and so are the needs of our students. As we develop a bold new strategic plan for our school district, we are grateful for the thousands of Douglas County residents who completed our survey, administered by the Successful Practices Network, in late February and early March 2025.
The survey, which was offered in English, Spanish, Chinese and Russian, is now closed.
