Cherokee Trail Elementary World Book Day

Cherokee Trail Elementary loves books everyday, but they celebrated World Book Day on March 5 by having their favorite characters roaming the hallways and bringing popular books to life.

More than having students and staff dressed up in character costumes, Cherokee Trail Elementary had fun games like spinning the Wheel of Reading for prizes and choosing free books!

The day was made extra special with in-character book readings by Mr. Bartuska (A Giraffe and a Half), Mr. Major (The Beautiful, Fabulous, Phyllis McFee) and Mr. Miller (On Account of the Gum).

They are building life-long learners and readers at Cherokee Trail Elementary! World Book Day 2021 is being celebrated on April 23 by bookworms worldwide. So head to your local school library, checkout a new title or an old favorite, and curl up on the couch!
