How Will Your Child's School Benefit from Additional Funding?

In November of 2018, voters in Douglas County voted to approve a $40 million Mill Levy Override (MLO) and $250 million no-new-taxes Bond. These informational flyers detail how our schools are planning to invest the additional funds.

Will DCSD's Charter Schools Benefit from the Mill Levy Override/Bond?

Mill Levy Override (MLO)
Should the Mill Levy Override (MLO) pass this fall, Douglas County School District will share those funds with its charter schools on a 100%, per-pupil basis. For a $40 million MLO, this translates to approximately $640 per student. An average charter school with 800 students would receive approximately $512,000 annually. 

Should the Bond pass this fall, those funds would be shared with DCSD’s charter schools to enhance safety and security systems, and to address urgent capital repairs as allowable by Colorado state law.
