Safety and Security
The Safety and Security department is dedicated to creating a safe learning environment for every student, staff member, and visitor in Douglas County schools. We focus on prevention, security measures, and emergency response, working closely with mental health and law enforcement experts.
Our services include dedicated Campus Security Specialists in every school, continuous monitoring by our 24-hour dispatch center, and expert maintenance of all security systems.

As required by state law (House Bill 25-1250), the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is making gun violence prevention materials publicly available for educational providers to access and distribute to parents, guardians, and legal custodians of elementary or secondary school students.
