Notification of Available Land for Charter Schools


As required by C.R.S § 22-30.5-104(7.5), this communication serves as the Douglas County
School District’s (DCSD) annual notice of underused or vacant buildings and land. A list of DCSD’s underused or vacant buildings and land as of November 1, 2024 is available below. A list of DCSD buildings and building capacities can be found in the districts annually updated Master Capital Plan.

On or before December 15th, 2024, a DCSD charter school or charter applicant may apply to the Planning Department to use underused or vacant buildings or land as the location for a charter school. Applications shall be submitted in writing to the planning department. 

The DCSD Board of Education will review and approve or disapprove each application in accordance with the process set forth in applicable law.
