Restorative Practices

Restorative Practices
DCSD has been involved with building and training on Restorative Practices for over 10 years, making it an integral part of the strategic plan to build a district that supports all students.  Restorative Practices is first and foremost about building relationships and community.  When situations arise and harm is done, Restorative Practices help to repair and maintain relationships while problem-solving and finding solutions. Restorative approaches are based on the idea that when we feel part of a supportive community, we respect others in that community and become accountable to it.
