In my role as Communications Officer, I strive to support all DCSD public schools via our district’s key elements of 1) educational excellence, 2) stakeholder satisfaction, and 3) a positive culture and climate.

As a Douglas County resident and parent, I am incredibly committed to the success of each and every public school in the Douglas County School District. I’m excited to be part of such a talented team of communications professionals.

I have over two decades of experience in communications, public relations, and marketing; 14 years of that experience is in the field of K-12 public education. Prior to joining DCSD, I served as the Communications Director for the Colorado League of Charter Schools, a non-profit membership organization.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Colorado at Denver as well as a certificate in graphic and web design from Platt College.

As the Community Relations Coordinator for DCSD, I’m thrilled to help foster relationships between our school district and the wider community. I believe as a community we’re better together and I love raising awareness about what’s happening in our school district.

Prior to joining DCSD, I spent many years in community relations supporting local Douglas County nonprofits. Amplifying the great work that’s happening here in Douglas County is something I’m passionate about. I’m a longtime Douglas County parent of three (since 2008!) and have been actively involved throughout the years with DAC, various SACs, PTOs and as a classroom volunteer. I’m a 2023 graduate of the Leadership Douglas County program and a current Ambassador for the Parker Chamber of Commerce.

I studied English at the University of Kansas where two of my three children currently attend - Rock Chalk!
