Students at competition

Congratulations to VALE students Hunter Jackson and Scarlett Marrone for winning the 2025 STEM Innovation Award at Junior Achievement’s National Future Bound Competition. As team CalmPulse, Scarlett and Hunter first competed locally to qualify as one of 15 teams to attend the national pitch event. At Junior Achievement’s Future Bound event, students demonstrated their skills on the national stage, showcasing their mastery of entrepreneurial, economic and financial thinking.

Team CalmPulse won one of only four awards at the national competition. “We could not be more proud of their incredible efforts,” said VALE Principal Lee-Ann Hayen.

VALE’s focus is on empowering students to embrace challenges as opportunities and prepare students to become entrepreneurial change-makers. Learn more about VALE
