The Rock Ridge Elementary Green Team continues to thrive in 2025, making a lasting impact on the Founder's Village community. These eco-champions dedicate their time to recycling every Tuesday ensuring waste stays in the sustainability loop. Their feathered friends also benefit! Cafeteria leftovers become chicken treats and thanks to PTO support, the hens have been laying eggs all winter. The team also engaged kindergarteners with ‘chicken time’ and writing lessons. Green Team members Willow and Aurelia designed this year’s t-shirt and preparations are underway for the garden’s fourth growing season. As the Rock Ridge Green Team marks 21 years, their commitment to a greener future remains stronger than ever.
