Mountain Vista High School has triumphed at the United States Academic Decathlon, clinching first place nationally in its division. The United States Academic Decathlon is an extremely rigorous, team-based academic competition requiring high school students to master college-level material. In only their fourth year as a team, the following Mountain Vista students have dedicated hundreds of hours of free time studying for and competing in 10 difficult events:

- Oscar Mackey
- Lucy Mock
- Ava Neal
- Caleb Olson
The students also completed the competition with $3,500 in combined scholarships! Well done, Golden Eagles!
