Honoring Every Student, Every Day

Castle View High Students
Ann Hriso
Inclusionhands

While DCSD supports inclusion every day, two schools were proud to share how they recognize the importance of each and every student. Both Coyote Creek Elementary and Castle View High went above and beyond in celebrating school-wide inclusion weeks.

Coyote Creek’s inclusion week celebrated individual differences with daily educational activities including learning about kindness, empathy, and the many ways people learn, move, communicate and experience the world. The week concluded with each grade level wearing a specific colored shirt, visually representing unity, diversity and a collective commitment to inclusion.

Castle View High’s inclusion week highlighted the Best Buddies program and the popular celebration showcasing the talents of the students in the SSN (Significant Support Needs) program.

Thank you to our schools for consistently fostering inclusion and building school communities where everyone belongs.
