Eight New Schools Earn RAMP Recognition

Douglas County School District is proud to celebrate eight additional schools that have earned Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) certification from the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). This achievement brings our district total to 12 RAMP schools, meaning Douglas County now represents over 60% of all RAMP-designated schools in the state of Colorado.

RAMP certification recognizes schools that deliver comprehensive, data-driven school counseling programs aligned with ASCA's National Model. Schools must complete a rigorous application process, with their counseling programs evaluated by a panel of school counseling professionals across 10 areas of program excellence.

Castle View High School
Chaparral High School
Clear Sky Elementary School
Legend High School
Mesa Middle School
Northeast Elementary School
Prairie Crossing Elementary School
Sand Creek Elementary School

This national recognition reflects the dedication and collaboration of each school's counseling team and administration in supporting students' academic achievement, college and career readiness and social-emotional well-being. These eight schools join four other DCSD schools that have previously earned RAMP certification: Cherokee Trail Elementary, Franktown Elementary, Redstone Elementary and Sagewood Middle School. The RAMP designation is valid for five years.
