A group of cosmetology students with aspirations of a career in the hair and beauty industry are bound for the Professional Beauty Association’s Beacon Student Program.

Gabriella Alvarado, Ava Banks, Callie Goulding, Hadassah Grado, Seanna ‘Will’ Sauer and Emylee Whitten are enrolled in the two-year cosmetology program at Highlands Ranch High School. They have been accepted into the Beacon Student Program Class 2025, a three-day educational event from May 31 - June 2 in Orlando, Florida.

This incredible program has a track record of transforming students into successful licensed professionals, including North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) finalists, salon owners and industry educators.

The application process involved making a portfolio resume and a video introduction highlighting their desire to become a Beacon Student. Their efforts paid off. In addition to attending the class, the students will receive free show tickets to Premiere Orlando, the largest North American hair show, and the prestigious NAHA.

“This is a tremendous honor and a fantastic opportunity for them to learn from the best in the industry. We are so proud of their dedication and hard work,” said Ariel Walker, cosmetology teacher at Highlands Ranch High School.
