Congratulations to Castle View High School Junior Abigail Reynolds for earning the 2025 Stephanie Foote Leadership Prize from Girl Scouts of Colorado. Abigail created a program, Gearing 4 Engineering, that set out to break down gender stereotypes that might discourage girls from pursuing careers in engineering.
Abigail created an inclusive, hands-on expo where third through eighth grade students tackled real engineering challenges and showcased solutions through creative presentations. By making project submissions anonymous, the program ensures fair evaluation was based solely on innovation and effort.
