We continually increase our use of data to help us adjust instruction
to meet our students’ needs. We also are implementing LIFT (Literacy
Instructional Framework for Teaching), which is a research-based model
for teaching reading and writing. Another initiative being implemented
is tri-weekly Horizontal Team Meetings, during which grade level teams
meet to discuss potential strategies to address individual student
needs. This has resulted in more effective instruction for students who
need extra support, as well as those who need more challenging work.
We do appreciate so much the support and availability of our parent
community. We could not accomplish continual improvement in student
achievement without that support, and we are honored to be able to work
with the students entrusted to us every day.
