Inclement Weather Policies

When school is closed for the entire day because of inclement weather, all practices, and evening activities will be canceled.

When school is in session and there is inclement weather, school district security will make the decision if and when to cancel after school activities. The decision will be based on the safe transportation of students from schools to homes. This decision will be made at approximately 1:00p.m. and will be made on a feeder basis.

If the evening activity requires students to be transported to another school, the Director of Transportation will make the decision whether it is safe to transport students. If, in the Director’s opinion, it is unsafe to transport students to the event, the event will be cancelled. Coaches and parents are not allowed to transport students in private vehicles if it is not safe to transport students by school bus.

Contact the coach regarding last-minute schedule changes.

Ticket Prices

The Colorado High School Activities Association and the Continental League regulate cost of admission to athletic events. Regular admission prices are as follows:

Adults - $5.00
Students -$3.00
Sr. Citizens - $3.00
Preschoolers – Free

Student Driving

Bus transportation will be provided for most athletic contests and students are expected to ride the bus unless they are with their parents or guardian.  Students are allowed to drive to athletic contests if leaving from their home.  If a student is departing from school to an event,   A “Parent Authorization for Student to Drive Privately Owned Vehicle Form” must be signed by the student, the parent, and the Athletic Director.

Unified Sports

Unified sports were developed to promote athletic participation for special needs students. Each team is comprised of players (special needs students) and partners (general education students). Players and partners work together to compete against other unified teams.  Only players can score for their team. Partners assist with direct play, and help players to score if needed. Unified sports are club sports, and are supported by fundraising and donations. Please contact each high school’s main office to learn more about participation in unified sports.
