The Directors of Schools Team, in partnership with school leaders, provides oversight to the School Improvement Process to ensure our Douglas County School District graduates have acquired the essential skills and knowledge of a Liberal Arts education and demonstrate responsible Citizenship characteristics.

The Directors of Schools Team spend the majority of their time on School Improvement Processes and Leadership Development to ensure that all Douglas County students have a strong foundation for success.

Leadership Development

• Recruit, Hire, Supervise and Evaluate School Leaders
  
  
• Coordinate and Provide Professional Development Opportunities for School Leaders

School Improvement

• Support the Alignment of K-12 Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment within a Feeder System
  
  
• Support the Alignment of Elementary, Middle and High School Educational Programming
  
  
• Facilitate School Accreditation
  
  
• Support School Accountability
  
  
• Support Data Monitoring and Analysis
  
  
• Support the Development of School Scorecards

School Management

• Support and coach school leaders in critical aspects of management such as scheduling, staffing, personnel, budgeting and acility management
  
  
• Provide Technical Support in the area of Student Discipline and School Safety
  
  
• Provide technical support regarding district policies

Responsive Governance

• Serve as a sounding board for schools, community and parents
  
  
• Serve as a liaison between schools, community and parents in resolving issues
