Higher Education Admissions
Requirements
Colorado has recently established Higher
Education Admissions Requirements for students who plan
to attend any of Colorado's public, four-year colleges or universities.
The requirements go into effect in two phases: Phase
1 for students graduating in 2008 and 2009, and Phase 2 for
students graduating in 2010 and beyond.
Enacted in 2005, HB 1057 requires districts to
provide parents with a list of courses the district has available
that satisfy the CCHE’s Higher Education Admission Guidelines.
Douglas County provides a number of courses that meet those
criteria.
