Mission Statement & Goals

The mission of this department is to develop, implement, and facilitate records management practices within the Douglas County School District Re. 1.

  • To store, reference, and dispose of District records according to approved local, state and federal laws, policies and guidelines.

  • To extend automated workflow and document management to reduce physical records storage footprint, improve long-term records security and accessibility, improve staff productivity, and reduce operating costs over time.

  • To perform support services vital to the students, faculty and staff to aid them in fulfilling the District’s goals and expectations.

  • To maintain a leading role in Colorado’s school districts, through the integration of new technologies, ideas and principles.

The first DRMAC meeting of 2009 is scheduled for March 12th, 2009

348 boxes of paper files were converted during 2008 amounting to roughly 1.5mil images.


11/1/2008

Douglas Count Schools selects Oracle’s Universal Content Management Suite as it’s new Enterprise Content Management solution, encompassing Document, Records and Web Content Management.


10/1/2008

The District’s Construction department goes live with their document and records management application – converting some 200+ boxes of information to digital format.
