DCSD Wellness Program

Healthiest School/Worksite Competition

From July through November, the Healthiest School / Worksite for each month will be determined by one formula for overall participation, which is based on the percentage of eligible employees at your school or worksite who are enrolled in the contest, and your school or worksite’s average activity time. Simply put: the more of you that are participating and moving, the better your chance of winning the title for the month – and possibly for the whole year!

In addition, each month is given a focus based off of national observances for health and wellness. Use these focuses to create special events at your school, office, or at home with your family!

July Focus: National Recreation and Parks Month

Highest percentage of employees enrolled in the competition and highest time in motion (July 6 – 23)
August Focus: National Skin Care Awareness Month

Highest percentage of employees enrolled in the competition and highest time in motion (August 10 -20)
September Focus: Cholesterol Education Month

Highest percentage of employees enrolled in the competition and highest time in motion (September 7 - 24)
October Focus: National Walk to School Month

Highest percentage of employees enrolled in the competition and highest time in motion (October 5 - 22)
November Focus: National Diabetes Month

Highest percentage of employees enrolled in the competition and highest time in motion (November 16 - 26)
December Focus: Healthy Celebrations Month
