The Do Good Dude program recognizes District students and staff members for exemplifying some aspect of the District’s vision of helping students acquire the knowledge and abilities to be responsible citizens who contribute to society. The Do Good Dude will canvass the entire District to identify and promote work toward this goal, and empower students and staff to exemplify this Vision in their daily lives.

This Board of Education vision has many components:

• Ability to think critically using reason and logic when facing decisions about what to believe or do
• Embracing universal ethical principles such as honesty, integrity and justice
• Demonstrating the self-motivation and resourcefulness to continue learning
• Applying learning by using knowledge and skills productively
• Developing and demonstrating leadership skills
• Taking ownership and accepting responsibility for wellbeing by making educated choices concerning social, emotional and physical health
