In the 2008-09 school year, Douglas County School District (DCSD) celebrates its 50th Anniversary as a reorganized school district. In 1958, Douglas County contained a scattered group of small, rural schools. DCSD now has more than 70 schools and is in the process of building additional schools to keep up with rapid growth. Throughout the year, students, parents and community members will share their reflections about Douglas County School District.
