Welcome to the Center for Staff and Community Development (CSCD).  CSCD is responsible for oversight of various programs within Douglas County School District.

  • Staff Development - Oversight for Staff Development is provided by a partnership between the Center for Staff and Community Development, the Douglas County Federation, Learning Services and Human Resources.

  • Community University - Formerly known as the Parent University, Community University provides parenting classes, online courses and other adult education to the community.

  • Digital Educator Program - The goal of the Digital Educator Program is to provide teachers appropriate technology tools, applications, and training in order to engage their peers and students in learning activities aligned with curriculum benchmarks and standards.

  • Alternative/Waiver Licensure Program – Douglas County School District offers three alternative programs leading to teacher licensure:  Alternative, Waiver and Teacher in Residence.  Oversight for the Waiver program is provided by the Staff Development Partnership.

  • Option Schools – Douglas County parents have many choices for their children in neighborhood schools and alternative offerings.  CSCD provides oversight for two of the eight options schools and home school parents, as well as nine charter schools.

  • eTraining – eTraining is an alternative delivery of information. These particular eTrainings are delivered by video streaming.
