Phase 1 – Creating Awareness (April – May, end of school year)
Phase 1 includes broad, generalized DCSD information for the education of all
Purpose: creating awareness, beginning to educate

 
• Meetings: Sharing of the Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow presentation
 
• Citizens for Douglas County Schools (CDCS) advocacy group forming (April/May)

Phase 2 – The “what’s in it for me” details (June – September)
  Phase 2 includes detailed/tailored information for school sites about how the November measure will
impact their school community and their students

Phase 3 – Get out the Vote (September – November)
  Phase 3 is contingent on the Board of Education voting on official bond/budget measure
CDCS will continue to communicate to communities regarding measure

Clerk & Recorder deadlines

 
• Voter Registration deadline (Oct 6)
 
• Absentee Ballots mailed to applicants within 72 hours after printed ballots are delivered to designated election official (Oct 9-13)
 
• Early voting polling places open (Oct 20)
 
• Absentee ballots must be received by Clerk & Recorder’s office – for receipt by mail (Oct 22)
 
• Last day to request absentee ballot, if you will pick up in person (Oct 31)
 
• Election Day polls open 7am-7pm (Nov 4)
