Advisory Committee (DRMAC)
Purpose
The purpose of the Document & Records Management Advisory
Committee (DRMAC) is to form a group to provide leadership, technical
assistance, and recommendations for program development in four main
areas of the District’s Document/Records management system.
Raising awareness to the need of electronic document / records management
within the District.
Strengthening relationships between departments to realize possible improvements
in paper processes and business process work-flow.
Increase the use of electronic document / records management to aide
in increased productivity by reducing paper files and increasing electronic
work-flow processes.
Collectively draft Policy and Procedures for submission to the Douglas
County Schools Policy Council for approval of best practices for document
and records management in the District.
Following initial monthly face-to-face meetings, the DRMAC steering committee
can convene quarterly. Members of the committee will be asked to contribute
in the following ways:
Representing the interests of their stakeholder group
Participating initially in monthly, and later quarterly DRMAC meetings
Building DRMAC membership by prioritizing which departments will
have the greatest impacts to improve our document & records management
usage as well as improved business processes.
Functioning as a resource to the steering committee and it’s
members
Supporting efforts to raise awareness of the need to reduce our paper
usage by utilizing electronic document management within the District.
Making recommendations for changes to a) your departments usage of document
management and b) your departments business process work-flows
