Medicaid Reimbursement Program and Child Health Plan Plus

The Medicaid Reimbursement Program receives reimbursement for health and health-related services provided to students who qualify for Medicaid benefits. Reimbursement dollars are used to expand health services for all students. Receiving school health and related services does not diminish a child’s Medicaid benefits in other settings. Board Policy JRA/JRC authorizes directory release of information for the Medicaid Reimbursement Program’s eligibility match. Further information can be obtained by calling 303.387.0510.

Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) is a low-cost health insurance program for uninsured Colorado children ages 18 and under whose families earn or own too much to qualify for Medicaid but cannot afford private insurance. CHP+ works to improve the health status of Colorado children by improving access to appropriate medical care and to reduce overall health care costs. CHP+ also offers benefits to pregnant women. Further information can be obtained by calling 303.387.0510 ext 2 or 1.800.359.1991 or accessing the website at http://www.cchp.org.
