Resume Requirements
It is not necessary to have requirements in this order.
- Name--Full name, including maiden.
- Permanent address
- Temporary address and dates of residence.
- Phone numbers--Include
home, work and an alternate where someone can reach you if you
are not available.
- Education--Include
dates of attendance, GPA and degree/s earned.
- Professional certifications or licenses--Include
expiration dates (anticipated date if pending).
- Work history--List
all work experience with the most recent first. Include job title
and beginning and ending dates of employment. Include responsibilities
that are relevant to the position/s you are applying for. Beginning
teachers should include student teaching assignment.
- Position requested--Indicate
the general position/s for which you are applying. Do not indicate a specific job posting. Be sure to include
the grade level/s and subject/s you are requesting, as well as
full or part-time employment.
- Additional skills, talents or proficiencies--Include
all relevant skills experiences, specialized training or materials
you have developed or published.
- Honors and memberships--List
all academic, extracurricular or co-curricular honors received.
List all professional organizations to which you belong.
- References--List
three professional references with titles and phone numbers.
Beginning teachers must include student teaching-cooperating
teacher/s and program supervisor. Applicants with experience
must include most recent principal or supervisor. Your references
will be contacted during the hiring process, which may be the
summer months. Be sure to include a contact number to cover this
possibility.
