Volunteer Program Students
- Students working one lunch line receive one free meal that
day (elementary,
school lunch; secondary, $3.00 retail food value)
- Students working on site for an entire lunch period receive
one week of free
lunches to be credited to his/her account
- Students working off site must follow the same instructions
as an adult volunteer
Adults
- Adult volunteers must fill out time card and volunteer form
to be attached to time
card - Managers/Leads must make sure time card and volunteer form
are filled in
correctly before sending to office
Time Cards
- Information on time card must include:

Site worked: - Volunteer must punch in and out
- Volunteer form must
be attached to time card
Vouchers
- The Nutrition Service office will mail voucher to volunteer’s
house
- Voucher:
Green if credit is to go to student who worked off-site
Yellow if credit is to go to student who worked on-site
- Student
will use voucher the same way as lunch money or a lunch check.
You
must credit his/her account. Enter the voucher value
onto the student’s
account.
Because you will not balance, make a copy of
the voucher before sending it in to
the office. Attach the copy to your end of the month report
with an explanation of
the amount- also make a note on your daily report.
- If a volunteer
works at one school and the voucher is redeemed at a different
school, the amount of the voucher is adjusted on
the two schools’ operating
statements for that month (subtracted from the school worked
at and added to the
school redeemed).
- Redeemed vouchers MUST be sent back to office.
Be sure to fill voucher out
completely before sending it in.
In order to became a volunteer, please fill out a volunteer
form.
